Sustainability in the Community

We’re always looking for ways to make Boulderthon more eco-friendly!  We’ll share more about our sustainability initiatives as we get closer to race weekend, but these are a few of the things we’re doing:


  • We anticipate keeping 90,000 cups out of landfills this year! We’ll have both Hiccup reusable cups and compostable cups along the course.


  • Did you know that aluminum is infinitely recyclable? We’ll have water in aluminum cans at the finish line.


  • Our bibs are made from one of the most sustainable materials on earth - industrial hemp. Hemp plants are beneficial for the environment, and hemp material is not only recyclable, it’s 100% biodegradable.
